    Dr. Oliver Kläusler, inventor of Sonowood, speaks at the museum of the city of Füssen in Bavaria, Germany, as part of a two-part lecture. First, an overview will be given on the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and its impact on the construction and trade of musical instruments. In the second part, Dr. Kläusler presents Sonowood as an alternative to the use of overused woods.

    We are coming across the pond to the NAMM Show in California to introduce you to Sonowood. The NAMM Show (National Association of Music Merchants) is the global corssroad of the music, sound and entertainment technology products with thousands of registrants from 139 countries.

    October 18th 2019 - September 27th 2020, Bern, Switzerland

    Sonowood spruce is made from domestic Swiss spruce from above 1’000 metres above sea level. Up there, the vegetation period is shorter, leading to narrow growth ring formation. Experience Sonowood from Swiss Alps sources as part of the upcoming Alpine Workshop Exhibition in the Swiss Alpine Museum in Bern.
