Swiss Alpine Museum

Sonowood spruce is made from domestic Swiss spruce from above 1’000 metres above sea level. Up there, the vegetation period is shorter, leading to narrow growth ring formation. Experience Sonowood from Swiss Alps sources as part of the upcoming Alpine Workshop Exhibition in the Swiss Alpine Museum in Bern.
Cremona Mondomusica 2019
Cremona Mondomusica is the largest and most important exhibition in the world for string instruments making. Cremona is the world’s capital of violin making and home to the most famous family of violin makers. Together with our premium partner Wilhelm Geigenbau, we presented Sonowood at Mondomusica 2019.

Dr. Oliver Kläusler, inventor of Sonowood, gave a speech at the museum of the city of Füssen in Bavaria, Germany, as part of a two-part lecture. First, an overview was given on the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and its impact on the construction and trade of musical instruments. In the second part, Dr. Kläusler presented Sonowood as an alternative to the use of overused woods.
